When I was little, I wanted to be a Disney character so I could hang out with the talking animals. Jane from the animated Tarzan movie is the best - she has an insatiable curiosity, interacts with wildlife, loves to draw and learn, talks a little too fast, and gets VERY excited when she discovers something new. Her personality resonates!
I've been drawing since I could hold a pencil, and am largely self taught. I have a degree in filmmaking and was in the entertainment industry as a costume designer and art director. I was lucky enough to travel to most sets with Gamma Ray, my fifteen year old lab mix, who is a major reason Tail Tale Art came to be.
For fun, I love PC gaming, binge-watching sci-fi shows, and venturing out for the occasional camping trip with my boyfriend and our friends.
This is a difficult update to share.
On Friday, June 1, after a morning of laying in the grass under the sun, watching birds and squirrels, sniffing the air with every breeze, and getting a little mud in her toes…Gamma Ray is at peace.
Up until the very end she made sure to show how much she loved me.
15 amazing years.
I love you so so much, my sweet Gamma Ray.

There is a memorial for her here if you would like to read it and light a virtual candle in her memory. Her original bio will remain below as she was a key inspiration in starting this business, and I love the idea of cherishing her memory as she was when Tail Tale Art was created.
Chief Treats Officer has her own Cinderella story. My brother found a box of puppies in a cardboard box behind a Tex-Mex restaurant, and rescued the runt of the litter - and her personality and energy was larger than life! He brought her to San Antonio after he got caught with a dog in his dorm. I was looking to adopt a dog, and the timing was perfect - I can easily say that she is one of the best things that has happened to me in this life!
Gamma Ray is fifteen years old, and even though she moves a little slower these days, she enjoys giving a solid high five, can speak, howl, and whisper. Her favorite workplace is on the couch, where she likes to lay on pillows like a person. She "sings" when she sees people and other dogs that she likes, and has a growing collection of Lambchop dog toys in all sizes, including one that is almost as big as she is.
She has many nicknames, including "Fuzzy Velociraptor" because she figured out how to open doors as a puppy - she is indeed a clever girl. In addition to her responsibilities as CTO, she also enjoys pup-watching from the balcony, food puzzles, and defying the cliché about old dogs learning new tricks.
